Heart Rate Variability Logger is a comprehensive tool designed for recording, plotting, and exporting various heart rate variability metrics. This application offers a range of features including time, frequency, and non-linear HRV capabilities, such as experience sampling, RR-interval correction, and DFA alpha 1 for real-time aerobic threshold estimation. Users can make comparisons between recordings, monitor activity levels, track steps, and even monitor location.

Heart Rate Variability Logger operates seamlessly with Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate sensors like the Polar H7 or H10. Its main functions include extracting, plotting, storing, and exporting heart rate data alongside various HRV features such as AVNN, SDNN, rMSSD, pNN50, LF, HF, LF/HF, and alpha 1 from DFA analysis.

The application allows for configurable experience sampling for event annotation purposes and facilitates comparisons between up to three recordings for easy visualization of HRV changes across different contexts. Additional features include activity tracking via step counting or motion intensity analysis from accelerometers.

Heart Rate Variability Logger also provides options for location tracking using GSM/WiFi networks or GPS technology, with customizable time windows for feature computation and RR-interval correction to ensure data accuracy. It supports export to Kubios software, data filtering based on user-defined thresholds, and convenient data export options via iTunes or Dropbox.

It is worth mentioning that prolonged use of GPS may have a significant impact on battery life. Heart Rate Variability Logger has been rigorously tested for recordings lasting over 24 hours, ensuring its reliability over extended periods of use.
